plants by design is part of a wider network of landscape projects concerned with landscape practice, research and education. This is based on the skills and experience that Chris has developed in a variety of roles associated with landscape architecture and urban design

Chris formed Landscape Design Associates (now LDA Design) with John Dejardin in the 1980's. Over a fifteen year period they undertook a wide range of design projects focusing on urban regeneration, housing landscapes and recreation. Moving on to pastures new Chris has combined landscape architecture practice with landscape education and research.
For over ten years he was Associate Dean and Head of the Leeds School of Architecture, Landscape and Design and he is currently Course Leader for Postgraduate Landscape Architecture courses at Leeds Beckett University as well as a partner in plants by design

Chris's experience in Landscape Architecture is diverse and includes rural and urban landscapes at a wide range of scales; Center Parcs developments exemplify his interests in providing green settings for contemporary living
